Hay & Straw For Sale 

Yorktown Feed and Seed 'N More Store offers hay & straw for sale.  We provide Hay & Straw to animal lovers and contractors in Yorktown, Newport News, Williamsburg, and the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.  We carry varieties of Straight Timothy, Timothy/Orchard Mix, Orchard Hay.  We are the local dealer for Chaffhaye.  It is a low sugar, low starch chopped Alfalfa which is labeled as a "pasture in a bag".  We carry Atlantic Hay, which is a very high quality Alfalfa, chopped, dried to a specific moisture level and bagged.  We have established relationships for hay and straw.  Please give us a call at 757-898-6899 to verify our current stocking level.

Yorktown Feed & Seed Bedding & Feed Types

Forage is the primary feed for many types of animals.  We stock the best we can find through local distributors and farmers.

Bedding comes in a large variety of types: Aspen flakes, Corn cob, Natural Paper, Cedar shavings and Pine Shavings. We have the smaller flake which "pick" well and the larger flake for chickens and small animals.  Others will prefer Pelleted bedding.  We carry a good quality pine pelleted product.  Straw bales can be used for bedding, ground coverage in newly seeded lawns, moisture retention in gardens or a the primary growing medium.  We have had an increasing number of folks who have discovered "Straw Bale Gardening".  This is a great way to organize your planting, or provide an excellent growing medium when your soil is not what you would wish or you have only a concrete area.  It also is weed and kneel free gardening.
